Cell signaling is governed by complex networks of biochemical interactions. These networks are critical for a wide range of cellular functions, from detecting environmental changes to cellular motility. Modeling signaling with reaction-diffusion equations (RDEs) requires prior knowledge of protein-protein interactions, many of which remain unknown due to the complexity of signaling pathways. I am developing deep learning-based methods for learning interpretable RDE models of signaling from spatiotemporal data.
