I use mathematical modeling and image analysis techniques to examine the spatial and/or temporal organization of molecules in cells. In my research, I investigate podosome structure and organization, using the frustrated phagocytosis model to study podosome coordination, and I explore conformational changes in Src and Talin observed using Binder Tag, a novel dual biosensor technique. My general research interests include differential equation modeling (reaction-diffusion systems and pattern emergence), cellular signaling and feedback mechanisms, and topological data analysis.
